Jacky Ni
Clinical Psychologist
Jacky has completed a master’s degree in clinical psychology, is registered with AHPRA and is an active member of the QLD branch of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Jacky enjoys working with individuals of all ages. He has experience working with anxiety disorders (with a particular interest in OCD), mood disorders, family conflict, trauma, life transitions and adjustments, and relational difficulties. Jacky also has a passion for working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) populations as well as problems associated with internet use and online video games.
Jacky adopts a warm and caring approach to his clinical work. His collaborative approach allows clients to feel empowered to make the changes they desire in their lives.
Jacky’s primary therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy (ST). Jacky has completed Level 1 and 2 training in Schema Therapy and is a Certified Level 1 Chairwork Therapist. He also brings in therapeutic strategies from Family Systems Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Jacky currently splits his time between private practice and public sector mental health services.
